Diagnostic Assessment
Specialist diagnostic assessments identify both strengths and weaker areas that may need to be supported. They can help with understanding why some aspects of school and day-to-day life are challenging.
The diagnostic assessment report includes recommendations for support both at school and home. When coordinated with school, it may be used as evidence for exam access arrangements.
A diagnostic assessment report may also be used as evidence for an older student's application for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) for Higher Education.
Assessments will be available from September 2025.

Specialist Tuition
By identifying your child's unique strengths, challenges and their learning preferences, specialist tuition is tailored to develop multi-sensory strategies which support individual difficulties with reading, writing and spelling skills.
Older pupils may also benefit from support with organisation and study skills.
Tuition is usually offered in six week blocks to ensure continuity and over-learning of new skills.

School Support
Assessment of cognitive areas which can be used as evidence for extra time or other Examination Access Arrangements.
Recommendations may include trialling strategies to ascertain benefits as the normal way of working before examinations.
