Specialist dyslexia assessments in Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and London

Helping children and young adults aged 8 to 24 understand how they learn and reach their full potential

If you have been watching your child struggle with reading, writing or spelling and wondering why, you are not alone and you are in the right place.

Some children have brilliant ideas and sharp, curious minds, but find it genuinely difficult to get those thoughts down on paper. Reading aloud is stressful. Spelling feels inconsistent. And despite how hard they try, the gap between what they are capable of and what their schoolwork shows keeps growing.

A specialist dyslexia assessment gives you the answers you have been looking for, along with a personalised plan to help your child move forward with clarity and confidence.

What a diagnostic assessment does for your child or young adult

Clarity on why your child is struggling

A full diagnostic assessment investigates the underlying causes of your child's difficulties with literacy. It looks beyond the surface to understand how your child processes language, remembers information and learns best. Rather than simply labelling what is wrong, it builds a complete picture of both their challenges and their strengths.

A detailed report with personalised recommendations

Following the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive written report that explains Claire's findings in plain, accessible language. The report includes specific recommendations for strategies your child's school can put in place, as well as practical things you can do at home to support their learning.

Evidence for school support and exam access arrangements

A diagnostic assessment report can be shared directly with your child's school to support applications for additional help, including extra time and other exam access arrangements. For older students, the report can also be used as evidence when applying for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) at university.
